Incoloy800(N08800) Nickel-Base Alloy Overview
The alloy has high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, so it has high temperature corrosion resistance and is widely used in industry. In chloride, low concentration NaOH aqueous solution and high temperature and high pressure water, it has excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance, so it is used to manufacture equipment resistant to stress corrosion cracking. Corrosion resistance is better than the general austenitic stainless steel, but also better than the Inconel 600 alloy; in the manufacture of corrosion resistance stress cracking equipment, but also better than the Inconel 600 and Monel400 alloy.

Machinability of Incoloy800(n08800) nickel-base alloy
● Hot working of Incoloy800(n08800) alloy
(1) The cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
(2) In order to obtain the best performance and creep resistance, solid solution treatment should be carried out after hot working.
(3) The material can be directly fed into the furnace heated to 1200 ℃, and then quickly discharged from the furnace after keeping the heat for sufficient time, and then hot processed within the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the hot working temperature, reheating is required.
● Cold working of Incoloy800(n08800) alloy
(1) The work hardening rate is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, so it is necessary to select processing equipment. Cold working materials should be subjected to solution heat treatment, and intermediate annealing should be carried out when the amount of cold working is large.
(2) If the cold working capacity is greater than 10%, a secondary solution treatment is required.
● Incoloy800(n08800) alloy welding process
Any traditional welding process suitable for the same material or other metals, such as tungsten inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal inert gas shielded welding, and metal inert gas shielded welding. Pulsed arc welding is preferred. If manual arc welding is used, (Ar He H2 CO2) is recommended as a shielding gas.
