HastelloyC-4

Hastelloy is a low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. The main difference between nirofer6616hmo and other alloys of similar chemical composition developed earlier is the low content of carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten. The chemical composition makes it have good stability at 650-1040 ℃ and improves the ability to resist intergranular corrosion. Under proper manufacturing conditions, the sensitivity of edge corrosion and corrosion of the heat-affected zone of the weld can be avoided.

Hastelloy C- 4(n06455) Mechanical Properties of Hastelloy

The minimum value is the data measured in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the sample of the specified size (solution processing state). The product performance of special specifications and special materials can be customized according to customer requirements.

    Hastelloy C- 4:iso-v notch test: average ≥ 120J/cm² (room temperature),≥ 120J/cm²(-196 ℃).

    Microstructure of Hastelloy C- 4(n06455)

Hastelloy C- 4 has a face-centered cubic lattice structure, and its chemical composition guarantees metallographic stability and sensitivity.

Hastelloy C- 4(n06455) Corrosion Resistance of Hastelloy

The high molybdenum chromium content makes Hastelloy C- 4 alloys resistant to various chemical media (such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine, organic or inorganic chlorine-containing media). Due to the high nickel content, Hastelloy C- 4 are effective against stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorine and even hot chloride solutions.

Time-temperature sensitization curve (carbon content 0.008%, refer to ASTM G28 method a).
