Hastelloy C- 276 is a kind of nickel chromium molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, its silicon, carbon content is very low.

Hastelloy (N10276, 2.4819)
The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes Hastelloy 276 resistant to a variety of chemical media, including reducing media, such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine, organic or inorganic chlorine-containing media. Due to the high content of nickel, Hastelloy 276 can effectively resist stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorine, even hot chlorine solution.

● Hastelloy -276 (N10276)
(1) HastelloyC-276 alloys can be manufactured and processed using traditional production processes.
(2) Before and during heat treatment, always keep the workpiece clean and pollution-free.
(3) The sensitization sensitivity of the alloy during rapid cooling at 1000 ℃ ~ 600 ℃ should be fully considered.
(4) Do not contact with low melting point metals such as sulfur, phosphorus, and lead during heat treatment. Otherwise, the properties of the alloy will be destroyed. Pay attention to remove dirt, such as marking paint, temperature indicator paint, colored crayons, lubricating oil, fuel, etc.
(5) The lower the sulfur content of the fuel, the better. The sulfur content of natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content of heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.

● Hastelloy -276 (N10276) alloy heating
Before and during heat treatment, the workpiece should always be kept clean and free of pollution. Do not contact with low melting point metals such as sulfur, phosphorus and lead during heat treatment. Otherwise the Nicrofer6616hMo alloy will become brittle. Pay attention to remove dirt, such as marking paint, temperature indicating paint, crayons, lubricating oil, fuel, etc. The lower the sulfur content in the fuel, the better; the sulfur content in natural gas should be less than 0.1 percent, and the sulfur content in heavy oil should be less than 0.5 percent. Electric furnace heating is a better choice, because the electric furnace can accurately control the furnace temperature, furnace gas clean. If the gas stove gas is pure enough, you can also choose. The furnace gas of the heating furnace should be slightly reduced to the neutral direction, and the fluctuation of the furnace gas between oxidation and reduction should be avoided, and the heating flame cannot be directly burned on the workpiece.
● Heat treatment of Hastelloy -276 (N10276) alloy
(1) The heat treatment temperature range of the HastelloyC-276 is 1200 ℃ ~ 950 ℃, and the cooling method is water cooling or rapid air cooling.
(2) In order to ensure the best anti-corrosion performance, the heat treatment should be carried out after the heat treatment, and the workpiece should be directly added to the heated heat treatment furnace.
● Cold working of Hastelloy c -276 (N10276) alloy
(1) The work hardening rate of Hastelloy -276 is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel, so it is necessary to select processing equipment. The workpiece should be in the state of solid solution heat treatment, and there should be intermediate annealing in the cold rolling process.
(2) If the cold rolling deformation is greater than 15%, the workpiece needs to be treated with secondary solid solution.
● Heat treatment of Hastelloy -276 (N10276) alloy
(1) The temperature range of Hastelloy -276 solution treatment is 1100 ℃ ~ 1160 ℃.
(2) The cooling method is water quenching. Materials with a thickness of less than 1.5mm can also be used for rapid air cooling. If air cooling is used, it should be cooled from 1000 ℃ to 600 ℃ within 2 minutes.
(3) During the heat treatment process, the workpiece must be kept clean.
● Hastelloy c -276 (N10276) surface removal
(1) The surface oxide layer and welding slag around the hastelloyC-276 have stronger adhesion than stainless steel. It is recommended to use fine-grained abrasive belts or fine-grained grinding wheels for grinding.
(2) Before pickling with HNO3/HF mixed acid, the oxide film must be sandblasted or polished.
