Incoloy926

Incoloy926(n08926) The content of Cr in nickel-based alloys is generally 14.0-18.0%, and the content of nickel is 24.0-26.0%. In the nickel-based alloy with higher chromium content, the chromium content is more protective than the traditional nickel-based alloy (N6); the high nickel content makes it have better oxidation resistance than the standard 18-8 stainless steel. When the working temperature is 1900 degrees (1038 ℃) and above, its oxidation resistance is not lower than Dahua alloy.

Processing and heat treatment of incoloy926(n08926) nickel-based alloy

Incoloy926 nickel-based alloys are suitable for cold working, hot working and machining. However, due to its high strength, both cold working and hot working require high-power processing equipment.

    ● Heating of incoloy926 alloy (n08926):

    (1) Keep the workpiece clean before and during heat treatment.

    (2) During the heat treatment process, it is not allowed to contact with low melting point metals such as sulfur, phosphorus, and lead, otherwise the performance of the material will be damaged. Pay attention to remove the marking paint, temperature paint, color pen, lubricating oil, fuel oil and other contaminants.

    (3) The lower the sulfur content in the fuel, the better. The sulfur content in natural gas should be less than 0.1%, and the sulfur content in heavy oil should be less than 0.5%.

    (4) Considering the need for temperature control and cleanliness, it is best to perform heat treatment in a vacuum furnace or a gas shielded furnace.

    (5) It can also be heated in a box furnace or a gas furnace, but the furnace gas must be clean, neutral or slightly oxidizable. To avoid the fluctuation between the oxidation and reduction of the furnace gas, the heating flame can not be directly burned to the workpiece.

    ● Hot working of incoloy926 alloy (n08926):

    (1) The cooling method of the alloy is hot air cooling method, and the working temperature is 1200 ℃ ~ 900 ℃.

    (2) During the heating process, the material can be directly fed into the furnace with the highest temperature rise. After sufficient holding time (60 minutes per 100mm thickness), the material can be quickly discharged from the furnace within the specified temperature range and hot processed in the high temperature section. When the material temperature drops below the hot working temperature, reheating is required.

    (3) In order to obtain the best performance, solid solution treatment should be carried out after thermal processing.

    ● Cold working of alloy incoloy926(n08926):

    (1) Like all austenitic CrNi stainless steels, incoloy926(n08926) alloy has a higher work hardening rate, so it is necessary to choose processing equipment. Cold working materials should be subjected to solution heat treatment, and intermediate annealing should be carried out when the amount of cold working is large.

    (2) If the cold working capacity is greater than 15%, secondary solution treatment is required.

    ● Heat treatment of incoloy926(n08926) alloy:

    (1) The temperature range of solution treatment is 1150 ℃ ~ 1200 ℃, and the best solution temperature is 1170 ℃.

    (2) For materials with a thickness greater than 1.5mm, the cooling method is water quenching; for materials with a thickness less than 1.5mm, rapid air cooling can also be used. If air cooling is used.

    (3) During the heat treatment process, the material can be directly fed into the furnace with the highest working temperature, and the workpiece must be kept clean.
